Safest, cleanest, most controllable. No combustion, no fumes, instant temperature response. 1200–1800W range is ideal. Price: $30–80. Duxtop and Secura brands are reliable. Make sure your pot is induction-compatible (magnetic bottom).
Electric Hot Pot
All-in-one convenience. Easy to clean and safe. Limitation: smaller pots and less precise temperature control. Price: $40–120. Aroma brand is good for beginners.
Butane Camping Stove
Traditional, portable, powerful, works without electricity. Requires ventilation — never use in an enclosed space. Check all connections before igniting. Price: $20–40. Iwatani makes the best consumer-grade models.
The Pot
Wide and shallow (28–32cm diameter) allows access from all sides. Stainless steel distributes heat evenly and handles acidic broths.
